Boutique Receipt Invoice Template

Receipt proportions, monospace type, and enough structure to work as an invoice.

The Boutique Receipt template borrows the narrow, centered proportions of a premium till slip and applies them to a full invoice. Everything is set in JetBrains Mono, a monospace typeface that gives the document the texture of a thermal printout while staying crisp on screen. Dashed dividers separate sections the way perforations would on paper, and a decorative barcode element sits near the footer.

Despite the receipt styling, this is a complete invoice. It carries the full data model: line items with descriptions, quantities, rates, tax, and totals. Payment information appears near the footer, just above the barcode. The narrow column width forces a vertical reading flow that keeps things scannable and focused.

What makes it different

The proportions are the first thing you notice. Where most invoice templates fill a standard letter or A4 page, the Boutique Receipt template occupies a narrow center column. It feels intimate and intentional, like a receipt you would actually keep rather than crumple up.

JetBrains Mono does a lot of the work. Monospace type gives numbers perfect column alignment without any extra formatting, and the uniform character width creates a visual rhythm that runs down the entire document. Combined with dashed dividers instead of solid rules, the whole thing has a tactile, analog quality.

How to use this template

  1. Open invoice. Now and select "Boutique Receipt" from the template picker.
  2. Add your business name and details at the top. The narrow layout centers everything automatically.
  3. Enter line items with descriptions and prices. The monospace font keeps columns aligned.
  4. Add payment details and any notes in the lower section.
  5. Export to PDF. The narrow receipt proportions and dashed dividers render cleanly in the exported document.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a receipt or an invoice?

It is a full invoice with receipt-inspired styling. It includes all the standard invoice fields: line items, tax, totals, payment terms, and notes. The receipt proportions and monospace type are purely aesthetic choices.

When should I avoid this template?

If your invoices regularly have very long item descriptions or wide tables with many columns, the narrow layout can feel cramped. For complex, data-heavy invoices, a full-width template like the Tech Mono template gives you more room while keeping the monospace feel.

Does it print at full page width?

The PDF export places the narrow receipt column centered on a standard page. There will be blank margins on either side. This is by design. The proportions are part of the template's identity.

Is the barcode at the bottom functional?

No. The barcode is a decorative element that reinforces the receipt aesthetic. It does not encode any data and is not scannable. It is purely a visual detail.
